{"id":2,"date":"2016-08-24T14:28:43","date_gmt":"2016-08-24T14:28:43","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/hipineb.i3a.info\/hipineb2017\/?page_id=2"},"modified":"2017-02-01T21:46:06","modified_gmt":"2017-02-01T21:46:06","slug":"home","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/hipineb.i3a.info\/hipineb2017\/","title":{"rendered":"Home"},"content":{"rendered":"<h4 style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>HiPINEB 2017<\/strong><\/h4>\n<h4 style=\"text-align: center;\">The 3rd IEEE International Workshop on High-Performance Interconnection Networks\u00a0in the Exascale and Big-Data Era<\/h4>\n<hr \/>\n<h5 style=\"text-align: center;\">To be held in conjunction with the <a href=\"http:\/\/hpca2017.org\/\" target=\"_blank\">IEEE HPCA Conference<\/a><br \/>\n5 February 2017<\/h5>\n<h5 style=\"text-align: center;\">Hilton Austin,\u00a0500 E 4th<\/h5>\n<h5 style=\"text-align: center;\">Austin, TX, USA<\/h5>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The main goal of the third edition of HiPINEB is to gather and discuss in a full-day event the latest and most prominent efforts and advances, both from industry and academia, in the design and development of scalable high-performance interconnection networks, especially those oriented to meet the Exascale challenge and Big-data demands.<\/p>\n<p><strong>TOPICS OF INTEREST<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The list of topics covered by this workshop includes, but is not limited to, the following:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Interconnect architectures and network technologies for high-speed, low-latency interconnects.<\/li>\n<li>Scalable network topologies, suitable for interconnecting a huge number of nodes.<\/li>\n<li>Power saving policies in the interconnect devices and network infrastructure, both at software and hardware level.<\/li>\n<li>Good practices in the configuration of the network control software.<\/li>\n<li>Network communication protocols: MPI, RDMA, MapReduce, etc.<\/li>\n<li>APIs and support for programming models.<\/li>\n<li>Routing algorithms.<\/li>\n<li>Quality of Service (QoS).<\/li>\n<li>Reliability and Fault tolerance.<\/li>\n<li>Load balancing and traffic scheduling.<\/li>\n<li>Network Virtualization.<\/li>\n<li>Congestion Management.<\/li>\n<li>Applications and Traffic characterization.<\/li>\n<li>Modeling and simulation tools.<\/li>\n<li>Performance Evaluation.<\/li>\n<li>Interfacing accelerators through the interconnect (GPUs, Xeon Phi, etc).<\/li>\n<li>Network infrastructure in distributed storage, distributed databases and Big-Data.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Further details are provided in the <a href=\"http:\/\/hipineb.i3a.info\/hipineb2017\/call-for-papers\/\">Call for Papers Section<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>SPECIAL ISSUE<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Best papers among those selected for HiPINEB 2017 will be published in a Journal Special Issue. T<span class=\"s1\">he selected journal is <span class=\"s2\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.cc-pe.net\/journalinfo\/index.html\">Wiley\u2019s Concurrency and Computation: Practice &amp; Experience<\/a>.
